Dear Potential New Member,
First off, I would like to thank you for your interest in joining the Sigma Omega chapter of Delta Sigma Pi, the nation’s first and largest professional, co-ed business fraternity.
The Sigma Omega chapter of Delta Sigma Pi was established almost a decade ago and has since then served its function of bringing together dedicated, brilliant, and sedulous business students seeking to better themselves in an environment of like-minded peers. Having initiated over 300 brothers in its existence, the chapter has grown into a vast and diverse network of business professionals in a myriad of industries, providing both a wealth and diversity of knowledge and experience.
Yet, I can confirm without a doubt there are no brothers today who are here for mere LinkedIn connections. Delta Sigma Pi signifies far more than just a business fraternity, but rather a community, dedicated to service, scholarship, social connection, and of course, professional development.
As a bit of a math geek myself, I like to think that this holistic notion behind Delta Sigma Pi can be seen best in the math functions of its namesake Greek letters. In mathematics, delta refers to a change in something; sigma is indicative of summation; and pi is a constant—forever unchanging. These three math concepts weave together a message that I believe is core to this fraternity: Delta Sigma Pi serves as a medium and catalyst to your own personal growth and development; grants you a professional resource and knowledge base through the additive effects of its network; and provides you a constant to fall back on in times of adversity and turbulence.
For me, this chapter has been an opportunity to meet not only some of my best friends, but some of the smartest, kindest, and most talented people I’ve ever known, granting me a home and community in what can be, without a doubt, a tumultuous and challenging period of life.
If you are a passionate, enthusiastic, and well-rounded student majoring in economics or business and seeking to realize your own full potential, I would strongly encourage you to take the time to come out to our upcoming recruitment events, learn what we’re all about, and meet the incredible brothers who make this fraternity so special.
If you have any questions about the recruitment process or the fraternity as a whole, please do not hesitate to reach out to me!
Sincerely,
Jack Roberge, Senior Vice President | Sigma Omega Chapter of Delta Sigma Pi nudsp.vicepresident@gmail.com
